Trapper Skalsky Drives In Four As Beulah Defeats Heart River
Trapper Skalsky wasted no opportunities at the plate on Tuesday, driving in four on three hits to lead Beulah past Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] 23-1 on Tuesday. Skalsky drove in runs on a groundout in the first, a home run in the second, and a double in the third.
Beulah tallied 11 runs in the second inning. Beulah's big bats in the inning were led by singles by Shay Yeager and Braydon Moore, doubles by Ferebee and Ferebee, a walk by Braden Zuroff, a triple by Aaron Vallejo, a home run by Skalsky, and a groundout by Kory Reub.
Tanner O took the loss for Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart]. He lasted two innings, allowing nine hits and 15 runs while striking out three.
Beulah totaled 17 hits in the game. Skalsky, Ferebee, Zuroff, and Moore each managed multiple hits for Beulah. Ferebee and Skalsky each collected three hits to lead Beulah. Beulahtore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Ferebee led the way with five.

**Congratulations to Mikey Morris for making 1st Team All-State in Class B Baseball**
The Miners ended their season at 18-13 with a defeat to Shiloh Christian in the Region 8 Championship game. The Miners finished at 7-3 in Region play which earned them the #1 seed going into the tournament. They also collected 3 All-Region awards; Senior Matthew Schanbel and Juniors Mikey Morris and Aaron Vallejo.
As a team for the season Beulah hit .312 with 4 home runs and 161 RBIs. On the mound they had 161.1 innings pitched with a 3.8 team ERA to go along with 148 K's. An overall pitch total of 3216 between 16 players who pitched at least 1 inning this season.All Region Performers:Matthew played stellar defense all year for the Miners in centerfield as well as being one of their top pitchers and performed when called upon, he hit .429 in Region games. He had a record of 2-0 and threw 22.1 innings, amassing 22Ks to go with a 1.25 ERA.Mikey started the season strong on the mound but after an injury didn't pitch again, he had a record of 1-1, with 10 innings pitched, 16 strikeouts, and an ERA of 0.0. For the season he was stalwart at the plate hitting .500 and striking out 1 time in 53 plate appearances.Aaron became a heavy usage pitcher this year throwing the most innings on the team with 26.1 and ending the season with a record of 5-3, a 2.9 ERA, 23K's, and 13 Walks. While also being a threat from the plate hitting .338 and leading the team in RBIs and Runs with 21 and 25 respectively.

Shiloh Game 1: 3-6 Loss
With the loss to Shiloh the Beulah baseball team ended the season with a 7-3 record and the #1 seed going into the regional tournament. The games will begin Monday May 22nd in Washburn.
Beulah fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 6-3 loss to Shiloh Christian on Tuesday. Shiloh Christian scored on a walk by Cole Baumiller, a single by Hunter Aus, a single by Josh Kolling, and a single by Eric Fettig in the first inning. Shiloh Christian captured the lead in the first inning. Aaron Vallejo walked Cole Baumiller with the bases loaded to drive in a run.
Camron Fagerland earned the win for Shiloh Christian. He pitched seven innings, allowing three runs, eight hits, and striking out nine. Vallejo took the loss for Beulah. He went three innings, allowing six runs, seven hits, and striking out two. Beulah collected eight hits. Dawson Bieber and Mathew Schnabel each collected multiple hits for Beulah. Schnabel and Bieber each collected two hits to lead Beulah.
Shiloh Game 2: 3-2 Win
Beulah defeated Shiloh Christian 3-2 on Tuesday thanks to a walk-off fielder's choice. The game was tied at two with Beulah batting in the bottom of the sixth when Cole Baumiller induced Kory Reub to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
The pitching was strong on both sides. hurlers for Beulah struck out one, while Shiloh Christian pitchers sat down five.
Shiloh Christian evened things up at two in the top of the fifth inning. Shiloh Christian scored one run when Cole Baumiller singled with two outs in the fifth inning.
Shay Yeager earned the win for Beulah. He went two innings, surrendering one run, two hits, and walking zero. Yeager recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Beulah. Baumiller took the loss for Shiloh Christian. He threw three innings, surrendering one run, three hits, and striking out four. Braydon Moore started the game for Beulah. He threw four innings, giving up one run, two hits, and striking out one. Jaden Mitzel started the game for Shiloh Christian. He pitched two and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, two hits, and striking out one.
